Tim English Design was engaged to conceptualise and design a long-term redevelopment vision that would modernise the club, improve member experience and establish a stronger identity for the venue. Over time, the facility had evolved through a series of additions and alterations, resulting in fragmented buildings, inconsistent circulation and limited connection between key operational spaces. The brief focused on creating a cohesive destination that improved accessibility, functionality and wayfinding while strengthening the relationship between the clubhouse, golf operations and surrounding landscape.

Rather than pursuing a complete rebuild, the design strategically retained and enhanced key existing infrastructure while introducing targeted interventions that deliver meaningful long-term improvements. A new arrival sequence featuring a defined entry statement and porte cochere creates a welcoming first impression, improves wayfinding and establishes a stronger sense of identity for the club. Internal planning focused on improving connectivity between golf operations, dining facilities, function spaces and outdoor entertainment areas, creating a more intuitive and enjoyable experience for members and visitors.

The architectural response adopts a contemporary country-club aesthetic, utilising durable, low-maintenance materials and refined roof forms to create a cohesive visual language across the site. Enhanced indoor-outdoor integration strengthens the connection to the golf course, while expanded gathering and entertainment spaces improve flexibility for social functions, events and everyday club activities. The design also carefully considered staged implementation, allowing the facility to continue operating while future improvements are delivered progressively.

The result is a transformative commercial concept that reimagines the club as a contemporary destination for members, visitors and the wider community. By consolidating previously disconnected spaces into a cohesive and highly functional environment, the proposal improves accessibility, circulation, operational efficiency and user experience while creating a stronger connection to the surrounding landscape. The redevelopment establishes a clear vision for the club's future, balancing commercial practicality with architectural quality to create a welcoming, adaptable and enduring community asset.
