Tim English Design was engaged to transform an underutilised backyard into a space better suited to entertaining and everyday outdoor living. The brief centred on extending the existing patio, introducing a swimming pool and firepit area, and refreshing the home's external materials to create a more cohesive and contemporary outdoor environment.

The design focused on creating stronger connections between the home and the landscape, with an expanded alfresco area forming the heart of the outdoor living experience. New pool and entertaining zones were carefully integrated within the existing site, while updated materials, screening and landscaping helped modernise the home and improve privacy without compromising openness.

The completed renovation delivers a relaxed resort-style atmosphere that encourages year-round outdoor living. From quiet afternoons by the pool to evenings gathered around the firepit, the transformed backyard now functions as a true extension of the home, providing a welcoming setting for both entertaining and everyday family life.
