Keppel Kitchens engaged Tim English Design to transform an ageing industrial workshop into a contemporary showroom and workplace that better reflected the quality, craftsmanship and professionalism of their business. The brief called for a modern customer-focused environment that would improve first impressions, strengthen brand identity, create dedicated showroom and consultation spaces, and enhance the overall client experience, while maintaining the functionality and efficiency of the existing manufacturing operations.

Rather than pursuing a complete rebuild, the design strategically retained and enhanced key elements of the existing facility, maximising value while delivering a significant transformation. A new showroom, reception and office addition was introduced to establish a stronger street presence and create a clear separation between customer-facing spaces and workshop operations. A bold architectural entry element, combined with a refined palette of James Hardie Matrix and Linea cladding, provides a contemporary identity that aligns with the Keppel Kitchens brand while introducing warmth, texture and visual refinement to the customer experience. Logical zoning, improved accessibility and carefully considered circulation paths create an intuitive arrival sequence that enhances both functionality and wayfinding.

The completed redevelopment successfully bridges the gap between manufacturing and customer experience, creating a professional environment that showcases the quality of the business and its products. The project delivers a welcoming showroom, dedicated consultation spaces and efficient workplace facilities while maintaining the practical requirements of the existing workshop. By transforming an outdated industrial building into a contemporary commercial destination, the redevelopment strengthens the Keppel Kitchens brand, improves day-to-day operations and provides a facility designed to support the continued growth and success of the business.
