Set within a rural landscape, Limestone Ridge was designed as a contemporary family retreat that balances bold architectural expression with a strong connection to its natural surroundings. The client's vision centred around creating a home that felt sophisticated and modern, while still embracing the relaxed lifestyle and openness that comes with rural living.

The home's layout is thoughtfully arranged into a series of distinct wings, separating living, entertaining and private accommodation zones. This approach provides both functionality and privacy, while allowing each area of the home to maintain a direct relationship with the surrounding landscape. At the heart of the design is a central outdoor courtyard and pool space, which acts as the connecting element between the various wings and creates a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor living.

A restrained material palette reinforces the home's architectural clarity. Bold dark enseam cladding wraps the building form, creating a striking contrast against the surrounding greenery and establishing a strong visual presence within the landscape. Complementing this contemporary exterior are carefully selected natural materials, including the feature limestone fireplace and textured landscaping elements, which introduce warmth, character and a sense of permanence.

Large expanses of glazing frame views across the property while drawing natural light deep into the home. The central outdoor space becomes an extension of the internal living areas, creating a private sanctuary for entertaining, relaxation and everyday family life.

Limestone Ridge is a home defined by balance - combining clean modern forms with natural textures, openness with privacy, and architectural sophistication with the relaxed rhythm of rural living. The result is a residence that feels both refined and deeply connected to its setting.
